AED Defibrillator Training
Introduction
An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable device that can diagnose ventricular fibrillation & ventricular tachycardia, which are both life threatening conditions related to the heart. This incredible machine is able to treat a heart attack victim through a process of defibrillation, and re-establish an effective rhythm on the heart.
Train Aid’s Defibrillator training is a four hour course that will teach you the skills required to use an AED with confidence and efficiency. An individual who is undertaken AED training has the skills that could quite literally save a life.
Why Attend Defibrillator Training?
Heart Attacks remain the leading cause of premature death in the UK. Research has statistically proven that early and effective use of an AED saves lives. For every minute that passes without the use of an AED the casualty is 10% less likely to survive. AED’s are common place now in public locations such as shopping centres, sports clubs and train stations.
Although these machines are easy to use it is still necessary to have undertaken AED training. Train Aid’s defibrillator training teaches you the specific AED skills set. The course covers CPR and a step by step guide to the use of a defibrillator. We will also use practical AED scenario training to enable you to grasp what to do in an emergency heart attack situation.
By the end of the course you will walk away with the confidence to implement your newly found skills if and when they were ever called upon.
